Associative Network DiscoveryThe Associative network discovery (AND) is a system for automated reconstruction of molecular genetic interaction networks. The AND system uses text- and data-mining technologies for obtaining information about interactions from text and factographic databases. The AND consists of knowledgebase containing information about genes, proteins, metabolites, diseases and their interrelations and visualization tool providing graphic representation of associative networks and convenient interface for navigation through the database. The AND system allows user to automaticaly reconstruct gene networks associated with some gene, protein, matabolite, or disease. Another possibility of the system is reconstruction of metabolic pathways from KEGG database containing objects of interest.
